Board Chair
Mr Cleopas Chiketa is the chairperson of the Board. He is an accomplished Businessman, HR Leader, and Business Executive Coach. He is currently serving as the Director for Human Resources and Administration for The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. He also serves the Cimas Group Board of Directors and is the Immediate Past President (IPP) of the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ) after serving as President from 2021-2023, prior to that he was Vice President chairing its Finance, Audit, and ICT Committee, He is a fellow of the Institute of Coaching (USA) and Member of International Coaches Federation (ICF) USA. Cleopas has served various Boards including the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) where he served as Director – Membership & Chapters, Zimbabwe Institute of Management (ZIM) Board and the Chief Learning Officer Intelligence Board and Board Member of Rubiem Innovations. He also sat on the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee as a Commissioner and the Africa Executive Coaching Council (AECC) a Pan African institution set to be an aggregator in the field of Executive Coaching from 2018-2022. Cleopas was recognized under the WHO IS WHO OF PROFESSIONALS 2012 Edition by the WHO HISTORICAL SOCIETY USA. He was crowned among 100 Best Global Coaches by World HRD Congress’s World Coaching Congress 2017 | Mumbai India.

Sibindi is a distinguished human rights advocate with nearly two decades of
experience in community development and the empowerment of marginalized groups.
Her exceptional professionalism and dedication were recognized in 2019 when she
received the Mega Fest Award for Best Female Director.

Steven Mupfurutsa is a highly experienced member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of ZHI. He brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion to the organization, and is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people of Zimbabwe.

Elsie Owindu is the Co-founder and CEO of CareNet Africa – a consumer-based healthcare organization with investments and subsidiary operations anchored on making access to healthcare easier, better and faster.

Judith Kaulem is a development practitioner, researcher and social policy analyst with over 20 years of working experience. She is currently the Executive Director of the Poverty Reduction Forum Trust, a civil society organization in Zimbabwe, where she oversees and pushes the organization’s vision of influencing development policies so that they put people at the centre with a focus on a life of dignity for all.

Musa is renowned for her robust project management abilities and unwavering commitment to the development and empowerment of underserved communities. As a strategic and approachable leader, Musa excels in driving growth and sustainability through her expertise in program design, grant management, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), and policy analysis.
Musa holds an MSc in Development Studies from the National University of Science and Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from the Zimbabwe Open University and is the Executive Director of the Sexual Rights Centre (SRC). Outside of her professional endeavours, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and appreciating the performing arts.
Treasurer
Steven Mupfurutsa is a highly experienced member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of ZHI. He brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion to the organization, and is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people of Zimbabwe.
Steven has a long history of working with not-for-profit organizations in Zimbabwe and abroad, providing auditing and consulting services on various programmes funded by USAID, EU, UN, Global Fund and World Bank obtained during his time at Deloitte.
He is a Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) with over 21 years’ experience in auditing, accounting, consulting, and investment management to a diverse range of clients in diverse sectors.
He is currently the Corporate Finance Executive at Mangwana Capital, a venture capital firm, and is also an independent member of the board of directors of Art Holdings Limited, a Zimbabwe Stock Exchange listed manufacturing company.
Chief Executive Officer – CareNet Africa
Elsie Owindu is the Co-founder and CEO of CareNet Africa – a consumer-based healthcare organization with investments and subsidiary operations anchored on making access to healthcare easier, better, and faster. The CareNet Africa group has two investee flagship operations in Zimbabwe – Healthcare Benefits Consulting – providing Enterprise Health Risk Management solutions, and the Medical Specialist Centre – a new state-of-the-art specialist curative and diagnostic center designed to provide a converged ecosystem for patient access to multidisciplinary specialists, world-class Radiology, and unmatched clinical and anatomic diagnostic services.
CareNet Africa further seeks to put in place new products that provide sustainable healthcare financing solutions targeted to enable the informal sector and the vulnerable members of society gain access to quality and affordable healthcare services.
Elsie has over 23 years’ experience in healthcare business management, and healthcare risk & consulting solutions, across various countries in Sub-Sahara Africa and is passionately driven towards building and creating growth and sustainable development opportunities for transformative and innovative healthcare businesses in both progressive and emerging markets in Africa.
Executive Director, Poverty Reduction Forum Trust, Zimbabwe
Judith Kaulem is a development practitioner, researcher and social policy analyst with over 20 years of working experience. She is currently the Executive Director of the Poverty Reduction Forum Trust, a civil society organization in Zimbabwe, where she oversees and pushes the organization’s vision of influencing development policies so that they put people at the centre with a focus on a life of dignity for all. She has spearheaded work that advances the attainment of Sustainable Development and is a strong advocate for advancing policies for inclusive development. Judith is passionate about enhancing impact of social change programs that address vulnerability, injustice and inequality. She has served in various advisory capacities on local, regional and international Boards including the International Council on Social Welfare, Partners for Review Network, Transparency, Accountability & Participation Network among others. A holder of a Masters degree in Adult Education with a focus on development from the University of Zimbabwe as well as several professional certifications, Judith has written several papers and presented at local, regional and international conferences on human development and poverty reduction related issues.
